It is a major loss to the hearts of the people who have fell in love with the sounds this man is connected to. No words can express the major influence his work has been to me and many others over our lifetime. With this loss, we can only be grateful of the astounding music legacy that was recorded over the years past. We have it to reflect back on and enjoy for years more in the future. Take care of those you love. Bobby

Man killed in single-vehicle wreck on Lower River Road
Thursday, Aug 21, 2008

A man was killed Wednesday afternoon when his vehicle struck a tree on Lower River Road.

According to the Bradley County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 911 call reporting a wreck in the 2100 block at 2:40 p.m.

Preliminary investigation by the traffic unit shows the vehicle traveling south on Eureka Road and crossing into the opposite lane when it rounded a small curve. The vehicle then left the roadway, according to the report, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree.

Terry Earnest, 53, of Charleston, had died when Emergency Medical Service arrived at the scene.

The Bradley County Volunteer Fire and Rescue also responded.

This is the fourth traffic fatality this month in Bradley County.

You got it brother! I combined your request with an ABC's theme i was gonna do. You were either with me when i bought most of these albums or with me while i jammed them over the years. Some earlier, some later. Most of the goods were on cassette and vinyl for me back then though. However, I did collect a few cd's though. How could i turn down a request down memory lane? Truth is i couldn't. It was great to picture what was going on when these tunes played for us in the 90's. Fuck. It's been over 15 years for some or most of these tunes yet, it seems like only yesterday i heard them for the first time. This show is a tribute to brotherhood, friends new and old, and family of all types, in our life and through all of the years of music. It introduces us and keeps us together. I hope everyone has learned to take care of those you love. We are all we have. I'll try to finish up the ABC's next week but don't hold me to it. Get on the forum at www.tarblackvomit.com and tell me where you were and what was happening for you in music during the mid-90's. Until next time, Enjoy.

"A phonograph in the hands of a 'hiphop/scratch' artist who plays a record like an electronic washboard with a phonographic needle as a plectrum, produces sounds which are unique and not reproduced -- the record player becomes a musical instrument." ~ John Oswald

Although i can't stand the thought of destroying a vinyl LP, I have to give my respect where it is due to the task of being a turntablist. I like the thought of someone diggin' through hundreds of records to find that perfect groove. Not only do you have to find it, one has to learn how to apply it. But hey, what do i know? So be it. Dig it or not? Let me know on the forum at www.tarblackvomit.com
Until next week, keep your records funky and your stylus clean.
